20120102-092138.jpgThe Panther Chorale welcomes people to enjoy their “Midnight Special, A Christmas Ball” on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Weaver Auditorium.

They will provide the audience with a complimentary, festive dinner, held at the high school cafeteria, to kick-start the holiday season.

Instead of traditional songs, they will perform popular pop/rock Christmas hits. For the dinner, they will serve a traditional turkey and dressing dinner with tasty desserts.

“I like the fact [that] we all get together… It’s always fun to see the show go from nothing special to something great!” junior Nikki Patel exclaims. “We’ve worked really hard on [the show]; it would be exciting to see the town come to see all of us.”

Choir members work hard during the class periods and after-school rehearsals to make this show the best possible.Practices can last up to two hours a day, three times a week in order to perfect this year’s Christmas show and holiday dinner.

“[I want to] push the students to be better than they ever dream possible,” choir director Stephen Gennette said.

This year the choir is filled with determined students willing to put forth the effort it takes to put on a show for the community.

“Our passion for music and devotion for choir will hopefully bring out an enjoyable show this December,” senior Regina Cardenas said.

Choir parents also do their share of work while they prepare food and help decorate for the festive dinner and the choir’s performance on stage.

“My favorite part is the planning and the coming together of all of us to make a great final product,” choir mom Ruth Aguirre said.

The Panther Chorale would like to share their hard work and singing talents with the community and ask for everyone to come join them celebrate Christmas through a holiday-themed dinner and show.

“This Christmas show is going to look and be amazing!” sophomore Johnny Berry said.

For ticket information please contact any choir member. Tickets will also be sold at the door on both event days.

The festive meal will only be provided Sunday afternoon at 1p.m.
