Book Review: “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs

Florida teen Jacob Portman finds himself trapped in a time warp in Wales, United Kingdom. In this time he is trapped with a group of other orphans and murderous monsters that follow him to the island.

It’s a must-read for every fan of thrills or morbid tales. This book will leave you on the edge of your seat and craving more before and even after the last page.

The Gothic tale has captivated the attention of many people, including the famous director, Tim Burton, who raves about the story and who is even talking about a movie.

This book combines the incredible mutants of “X-Men First Class” with the legendary time lord “Doctor Who.” Any fan of either of these will love Miss Peregine’s, a sure four stars from me and any one else who decides to read this extravagantly morbid and dark tale.
