Understanding commitment is a tough one. I absolutely enjoy playing sports year round, but inevitably there are days where I’d rather not be on the court having another day of practice.

An athlete must learn to overcome these days of low motivation, and train a little bit harder. These athletes are the ones who dominate because effort always trumps talent.

When you join a team, you are entitled to do your job with your absolute best effort. Leave it all on the court; No questions asked.

Commitment is not only needed in sports, as it is very important in life. Practicing commitment now by attending practices and keeping your word will help you build strong relationships in the future. When you make a commitment to do something, you are saying to another person that you can be trusted, and trust is the foundation for long lasting relationships.
